  • Attended Bakersfield College and California State University Bakersfield.
  • Studied privately for 8 years under Barbara Byers.
  • Leads a violin/viola Mariachi group.
  • Has worked in the special education system for 29 years.
  • Is a member of the Bakersfield College Chamber Orchestra and the Musica De Camera Orchestra.
  • Works in the public school system. (Rosedale School District)
  • Was string coach at East High School and Bakersfield High School.
  • Serves as a board member of the Bakersfield Youth Symphony.
  • Emphasizes music theory, reading, and technique in her lessons.
  • All students are encouraged to participate in Honor Orchestra, Strolling Strings and/or the California Music Educators Association Solo/Ensemble Festivals each year.
  • Holds a minimum of one recital each year for students to showcase their progress.
